Why Pharmacist in Clinical Research?

Qualification and experience
A basic degree of pharmacy makes one eligible for entering into the field of clinical research. However, it is always advantageous to have post graduation degree in specialized areas like pharmacology, pharmacy practice, hospital pharmacy, clinical pharmacy etc. which makes pharmacy professional empowered with enhanced knowledge that is useful in clinical research. To undertake the job of dispensing medication, as usual, there has to be a registered pharmacist. After few years of experience, a pharmacist may choose to go into a number of more specialised fields and  one of these is clinical research. Instead of pen and paper, the clinical data is now days recorded and maintained in computers. After little training, pharmacy professionals can also take up the responsibility of clinical data management.
