Accessibility to essential medicines has been considered
as an integral component of the right to health, which

essential medicines to the public at large. As per the
information available, one third of the world’s
population lacks reliable access to the essential
medicines. The situation is still grave and

and their condition is characterized by high rate of
mortality, morbidity and disability.
