Shaileyee Das & Dr. Subhash Chandra Mandal

Introduction: A large amount of hazardous and unwanted chemical, gases or substances are released due to rapid industrialization and urbanization. For this reason our environment is undergoing great damage. With the increase in urban population density, emerging and re-emerging food borne and waterborne diseases caused by multi-resistant pathogenic organisms constitute a major threat in world wide. Antimicrobial resistance is a major factor in virtually all infections and poses serious public health problems. WHO estimates that 25% of the total 57 million annual deaths that occur worldwide are caused by microbes and this proportion is significantly higher in developing countries. These hypotheses have led to major research effort to discover alternative strategies for the treatment of microbial infections. So now it is our need to learn about the secrets that are present in the Nature and its products which leads to the growth of advancements in the synthesis processes of nanoparticles.
