Perspectives in Regulatory Issues and Challenges in National and International Pharmacy

Introduction: The pharmacy regulations have emerged initially with the industrial development followed by practice regulations. The main aim of the regulation is to establish a system of making available of quality medicines to the patients and protecting from accidents while using medicines. The price of the medicines is going to have a direct impact on utilization of the medicines. There are many drug laws which address the control of the price of the medicines. The socio-economic issues along with abuse of drugs and self-medication are some of the challenges which need to be addressed. The issue of quality medicines and counterfeit medicines are also bothering international pharmacy market. The marketing and profiting challenges of pharmaceutical industry has its own dimension which are addressed in this article.
