An Overview of Trade Marks in Pharmaceuticals

Introduction: Provenance of Trade Marks dates back to Indian Harappa Civilization. Trade Marks presented on a product or a service represent a company from which the product or service originated. Registration of Trade Marks at the Government authority is beneficial, as intellectual property rights are currently non-territorial both at the national and international levels. It has been observed that several national level trademarks are available in international territories and an ambiguity arises whether they are of Indian or foreign national origin. The current article is a brief understanding of the concepts of Trade Marks.
