Registration of Clinical Trials

Abstract: Clinical trial registry is a database containing entries with basic information about a clinical trial. The pharmaceutical industry is now seriously concerned for drug safety and scandals as prescription drugs continue to make headline news around the world. The pharmaceutical industry is also worried over a high level of distrust among general public which is largely based on the limited availability of timely information regarding the clinical development process. This general lack of faith has also resulted in a steady drop in clinical trial enrollment by patients and volunteers. Moreover, the healthcare professionals and consumers are now demanding broader access to trial results, whether they are positive or negative.
