Increasing Heart Attacks and Coronary Diseases in Young Children

Introduction: Coronary Heart disease is rapidly increasing in developing countess including India. According to world health organization it may assume epidemic proportion in the next few years. It was considered to be a disease of developed countries but because of sustained effects for its prevention it is showing downward trend in its incidence in these countries. But in developing countries including India its incidence is increasing. Formerly it was considered to be a disease of urban areas and mostly occurring in the 5th or 6th decade of age.
